maps

i read tarot and I Ching out of san francisco. been doing it long enough that the decks are worn soft and the Wilhelm/Baynes has a cracked spine.

before this i spent over a decade in youth development and social work. you learn things in that kind of work — how to say the hard thing directly, how to hold a mess without trying to fix it, how to hear what someone's actually asking instead of what they said. it changes how you read.

i also build things. augury — the divination engine this site runs on — is mine. i wrote it because the tools i needed didn't exist in a form i could stand to use.

the site

three readings go up every day. single card at 7am, three-card spread at 9am, I Ching at noon (PST). written fresh each day from that morning's draw — no templates, no recycled takes.

the single card sets the undertone. the three-card spread runs that thread through past, present, and future. the I Ching pulls a hexagram independently and gives you the structural pattern underneath whatever the tarot surfaced. three angles, one day.
